I really like New Lines
DVD releases, they always have tons of Extra Features. First you
get both Wide and Full Screen Versions of this movie. You get two
Audio Commentarys. First is from film critic Roger Ebert and the
other from various makers of the movie. This was a first for me to
see, but this DVD has an Interactive Game where you have to find various
object throughout the menus. You get a special video once you
finish it. There is also your standard Production Notes, Movie
Trailer, Cast and Filmmakers. One feature I have never seen before
is you get Star Highlights. They consist of clips from other
movies that the stars of the movie have been in. I thought that
was a really good idea. There is also Set Designs where you see
illustrations of the concepts of the various sets. You get
comparison to what this movie was based on as well which is Fritz Lang's
Metropolis. This is one of the few DVDs where both languages
featured have a Dolby Digital soundtrack. The Main Menu has
Animation and Background music from the movie. When you switch to
each menu the menu morphs into the new one. It is a really cool
looking effect. There is not one thing I can think of they could
of added to make this Interactive Menu any better. Good job New
Line Cinema. Overall I rate this great Interactive Menu:
