The amount of Special
Features in this DVD is amazing. This comes as a two disc set.
First disc is a directors cut personally supervised by director Michael
Bay. Two commentaries are here as well. First one is with
the director, producer, Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck. The second
one features cinematographer, a NASA consultant and an asteroid
consultant. In the Scene Selection menus you get little videos
playing from different parts of the movie while you decide what scene
you want to pick. The way they mixed the scenes and sounds
together makes this the most cool looking scene selection menu yet.
Both discs feature Animated Menus, Background Music, and Sound.
The second disc is for extra features only. You get a funny gag
real (bloopers) done by Michael Bay. There is some extra Deleted
Scenes compiled by Michael Bay. Storyboards and production design
drawings from the movie are also featured. You get a few behind
the scenes video of the making of the special effects in the movie and
how they did them. Then there are Movie Trailers, Teaser, and a
huge amount of TV Spots. Finally you get the music video
"I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith. Just before
the video there are interviews with the band members from Aerosmith.
It takes you at least a couple of hours to go through the whole second
disc. I am very impressed. I think this is the best DVD
Special Featured Movie yet.
