This DVD has tons of
excellent Special Features. You get Audio Commentary, Movie
Trailer, Production Notes, Cast Listing, Director Biographies, TV Spots.
There is also a little behind the scenes Featurette in here as well.
What is very interesting is they show you the Basics Of Computer
Animation. They show how they took it from a storyboard image to
the actual final scene. They also show how they came up with the
three main characters of the story and show you the many, many different
character concepts they originally had. The final Special Feature
shows you how they were able to do all the facial expressions of the
characters. Is there anything missing? Just maybe interviews
with the actors and what they thought of doing the voices in the movie.
The Main Menu and Special Features menu has video running in the
background with little Ants doing things in the foreground. The
theme music of the movie also runs in both menus. There are also
some good pictures where there is not any animation. When you
switch from one menu to the next you get a short little animation
sequence with sound. One fianl note, can you find the hidden
credits sequence for the DVD in the menus? I am very pleased with
this DVD's extras. Overall I rate this Interactive Menu:
