The amount of Special
Features available with this DVD is amazing. These are not your
standard DVD Special Features either. First on our list is THX
Digitally Mastered. That is always a great extra. We get
Audio Commentary by Ridley Scott the Director of this movie. There
are also Deleted Scenes not seen before. The last Deleted Scene
shows you for the first time in this movie what the Aliens do to humans.
There is also an extensive Photo Gallery with artwork and production
photos. There is also Storyboards on how this movie came to be
what it is today. A feature not seen very often is an Isolated
Original Score and Alternative Music Track. It is different when
you just hear the music of the movie and nothing else. There is
also 4 Movie Trailers from all 4 movies. Very impressive.
The Menus themselves are some of THE best I have ever seen. The
detail in the animation and the use of music and sound effects is very
well done. The fluid motion of going from one menu to the next
just has to be seen. A feature that is becoming more and more
popular is they are including DVD-ROM Enhancements. This DVD
features a cool Screensaver and Web Links. This is almost becoming
a standard feature. Everything in this DVD was very well done.
FOX has just become a huge player in the DVD market when it comes to
using Special Features. Overall I rate this great Interactive
